Care Guide for Woven Textiles

Woven textiles add warmth because the texture is visible. That same texture needs thoughtful care so the piece keeps its shape and does not wear out too quickly.

Shake and air out

For throws, placemats, and baskets, start with light maintenance. Shake out crumbs or dust and let the piece air out before deeper cleaning.

Spot clean first

Use a mild soap and a clean cloth for small marks. Avoid soaking unless the care label allows it.

Store with room

Do not crush woven pieces under heavy storage. Baskets, throws, and mats hold their shape better when they have space.

Rotate use

If one throw, towel, or placemat gets used constantly, rotate with another piece to reduce wear.

Woven care checklist

  • Shake out regularly.
  • Spot clean gently.
  • Follow the care label.
  • Store dry.
  • Avoid crushing structured pieces.
